League Rules
Summary of the 2025/26 Mumbles Darts League playing format.
Board Setup
- Bristle board, one to twenty, double and treble.
- Bullseye height: 5ft 8in (1728mm) from the floor.
- Throwing distance: 7ft 9in from the back of the raised oche to the board face.
- Board must be well lit.
Match Format
- Best of 11 games: 2x triples (601), 3x doubles (501), 6x singles (501).
- Straight start, finish on a double.
- Singles are drawn from a hat and played in draw order.
- Home team starts games 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11.
Results & Submissions
- Both captains complete and sign the official result sheet after the match.
- Submit via the league Facebook page or WhatsApp group.
Attendance & Cancellations
- No-show: 11 points awarded to the non-offending team.
- Cancellations require 7 days notice, max two per season (one per half).
- Cancelled games must be played before season end or a forfeit applies.
- If a team drops before halfway, points vs that team are removed.
Player Minimums
- Minimum of four players to play.
- With fewer than six singles players, redraws are allowed but points apply as per league rules.
- Teams can play short-handed twice per season; after that, unfulfilled matches are forfeited.
Match Conduct
- No player may step on any part of the oche during play.
- Foot must remain behind the toe edge; breaches do not score after warning.
- Disputes should be resolved by captains or escalated to the league committee.
