Starting a match: a guide for captains
One phone or laptop runs the whole match for both teams, so only one captain needs to do this. Usually that's the home captain.
Before you start
- Sign in with your darts.pub email and password. The league must have made you a captain of your team.
- You can start the match from 8:30pm on match night (Friday 16 October).
Start the match
- Sign in with the button above, or Login in the menu.
- Tap Tonight's matches.
- Tap your match. You'll see both teams' squads.
- Check the players. If someone is missing, type their name in Add a player under the right team and tap Add. Either captain can add players to both teams.
- Tap Go to match night.
- For each game, choose the players, check who throws first, then tap Start on board.
- Score every visit. On a laptop, type the total and press Enter. On a phone, use the keypad. If you make a mistake, tap Undo last visit.
- When the last game ends you'll see Match complete, and the result goes to the league.
Showing the scoreboard on a TV
If your laptop is plugged into a TV:
- Press the Windows key + P and choose Extend.
- On the match screen, tap Scoreboard. It opens in a new tab.
- Drag that tab off the browser and onto the TV, then press F11 for full screen.
- Keep scoring on the laptop. The TV updates by itself.
Using a phone to score? Open the scoreboard on the laptop or TV instead and leave it there.
If something doesn't look right
- No "Go to match night" button: you're not signed in, or the league hasn't made you a captain. Ask the league admin.
- "This fixture is not open yet": it's before 8:30pm. Try again then.
